Description
This e-bike tour to Brolio Castle starts in Gaiole in Chianti and follows quiet secondary roads to Castello di Brolio. The path is easy and smooth, so it works for families, couples and first-time e-bike riders alike.
You ride through vineyards, olive groves, woods and rolling hills at a leisurely pace, with room to stop for photos. There is no live guide: the Outdoora app on your phone talks you through the route with spoken directions and marks the stops and sights along the way, and the rental location can help remotely if something comes up. A phone holder is fitted to the bike.

At the castle the stop comes with a short tasting of wines from the estate. Entry to the castle itself is not included in the tour. If you want to hear more about the castle and the Ricasoli family, you can join the guided visit.
Bring your own smartphone: before the ride starts, you need mobile data or Wi-Fi to fetch the app and its audio. Comfortable shoes are a good idea. The app works in English, Italian, French, German and Spanish.
