Description
This organic winery tour in Chianti is a two-hour visit to a boutique estate in the hills, well away from the busier wine stops. The vineyards are farmed on organic principles, and the guide explains the estate's sustainable approach and the history of Chianti's best-known grape varieties.
The walk starts among the vines and the centuries-old olive groves. You also meet the estate's free-range chickens in their coop, then move into the cellar, where you see oak barrels and learn how the wines are made by hand.
