Description
This Tuscany horseback riding tour starts with a transfer from Florence or San Gimignano to a riding centre set among the region's best-known hills. There you meet your guide and your horse, hear a short safety briefing and put on the helmet that comes with the tour. Then the trail begins, a gentle walk, not a trot, between vineyards, cypress trees and open views. The ride lasts about an hour, and no previous experience is needed, so beginners are as welcome as intermediate riders.
Afterwards the day turns to the table. A nearby winery serves a traditional Tuscan lunch of regional specialities made with fresh local ingredients, with a guided tasting of the estate's wines. Along the way you hear how winemaking works in this part of Tuscany. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are available on request.
- Round-trip transport from Florence or San Gimignano
- Guided ride on English saddles, with helmet and safety briefing

Depending on the departure you choose, the last stop is San Gimignano, where you can wander the medieval village at your own pace before the ride home. Long trousers and closed shoes are needed for the riding, and the tour is not meant for children under 15 or for riders over 110 kg.
