Description
This Chianti wine tour from Siena is a half-day drive into the hills where the vineyards have grown for centuries. You travel by climate-controlled minivan with a multilingual driver, and the tour is a small-group one, with a maximum of 8 people on board.
The road crosses rolling countryside and brings you to Castellina in Chianti. Along the way you pass old churches, castles and villages that seem untouched by time, and you get free time to wander through the towns by yourself.
Two wine estates are on the programme, the second in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. At the first one you taste Chianti paired with typical Tuscan food, a wine of ruby colour and a bouquet of violets made from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
