Description
This Brunello wine tasting in Montalcino is set in a medieval castle, and it ends at the table. The tour lasts about an hour and a half, and a professional sommelier leads it from the vineyard walk to the last glass.
You start with a stroll between the rows, hearing the history of the castle and of the family behind it, and how quality wine is made the traditional way. The views over the Tuscan landscape are part of the walk.
Then comes the tasting of three local wines with Tuscan snacks, among them Sangiovese IGT or Brunello di Montalcino. The sommelier explains what each glass holds and why these wines are unique. Lunch follows, three Tuscan courses with drinks included:
- Cold cuts and cheeses
- Hand-made pasta with sauces
- Dessert with coffee
Vegetarians can ask for their own option when booking. The tour is not suitable for guests under 18 or wheelchair users.
