Description
The Montefioralle winery tour and wine tasting takes you to a family-owned estate among rolling vineyards, with views of the medieval village of Montefioralle in the Chianti hills. It is a small, personal visit rather than a large-scale one, and lasts about an hour and a half.
A member of the family leads the tour and explains the artisanal way the wines are made, which reflects the land. The wines are made in small quantities, and the setting is an artisan winery rather than a large cellar.
The tasting covers four wines:
- Chianti Classico
- Chianti Classico Riserva
- Monteficalle IGT
- Vin Santo del Chianti Classico
Local food samples go alongside the wines. They are a taste, not a full meal, so plan lunch separately. Parking is not covered. The visit is not suitable for wheelchair users. If you want to meet the people behind a Chianti Classico label and drink in a village setting, this is a good fit.
