Description
A wine tasting in San Gimignano at the Mormoraia estate takes you to an estate that keeps the charm of an ancient convent, among hills with views of San Gimignano's towers and the Val d'Elsa villages. The tasting takes place in Enoteca Le Volte di Mormoraia, a small, welcoming wine bar where the team explains what makes each label different.
Every option comes with a taste of the estate's extra virgin olive oil, and you pick the one that suits your time and curiosity:
- Classic, with four Mormoraia wines
- Essence, with five of the winery's most representative wines
- CRU, with five wines from single vineyards
The visit of the winery is part of the experience, and the length depends on the option, between about one hour and an hour and a half.
It works equally for newcomers and for experienced wine lovers. Getting to and from the estate is up to you, as transport is not included. The tasting is offered in English and Italian.
