Description
This lunch and wine tasting in San Gimignano takes place within the town walls, close to Piazza della Cisterna, and lasts around two hours, at a pace that never hurries you.
The meal opens with Tuscan salumi, finocchiona, ham and pecorino, plus bruschetta with ripe tomato and basil and toasted bread dressed in olive oil. Then comes lasagna made in house, followed by a meat course in the local style, and cantuccini with Vin Santo close the table.
- A pour of six wines: two sparkling, a Chianti Riserva, a Chianti Classico, a Supertuscan and a second Classico Riserva
- Extra virgin olive oils: classic, white truffle and chili pepper
- Vinegars: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI and a red onion balsamic
Tell the hosts about any food intolerance beforehand, and note that the experience does not suit vegans, pregnant women or people with lactose intolerance. It is designed to accompany the day without haste. Transport and extra drinks are not included, and the experience runs in English, Spanish or Italian.
