Description
This e-bike tour in the Siena countryside is a loop that starts near the city and keeps to an easy, unhurried pace. Quiet lanes, gravel tracks and short cycle-path sections make up the route, so you do not need to be a technical rider. The whole ride takes around three and a half hours.
Soon after the start you are among gentle hills, vineyards, fields and farms. Montaperti is the best-known stop, the place of the 1260 battle between Siena and Florence, now set in quiet farmland. You also ride through Pianella and Pievasciata, and past Pieve a Bozzone. Pievasciata is also known for its ties to contemporary art and the Chianti Sculpture Park.
There is no guide riding beside you. The Outdoora app on your smartphone shows the way turn by turn, speaks the directions and flags the stops and points of interest, and the rental location can help remotely if needed.

Bring your own smartphone with an internet connection to download the app and audio beforehand, and wear comfortable shoes. Riders under 155 cm cannot take part, and food and drinks are not included.
