Description
Horseback riding in Buonconvento takes you into the soft hills of the Crete Senesi, an area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The riding centre is about 10 km from Montalcino and 25 km from Siena, so it fits easily into a day among Tuscany's wine towns.
All levels are welcome, including first-timers. Before setting off you get a short introduction to meet your horse and settle in. A friendly, knowledgeable guide then leads the ride along scenic trails.
The route runs through golden fields, cypress-lined paths and past ancient farmhouses and medieval hamlets, with wide views over the hills. Along the way you notice the scent of wild herbs and the birdsong.

Bring long trousers and closed shoes. Riders must be at least 14 years old and weigh under 100 kg (220 lbs). The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or people with back problems.
