Description
Truffle hunting in Tuscany starts with a short introduction to the world of truffles and then moves into the woods near San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the Chianti hills. A seasoned hunter and his well-trained dog lead the way, and the tour lasts about an hour among the trees.
The dog does the searching, and you follow. When it finds something, the hunter shows how a truffle is harvested, so you see the technique of an old craft passed down through generations. Support and personalised assistance are on hand throughout, and small bottles of water are provided.
